Projects
The SusPack Project, funded by the Erasmus + program, is aimed at promoting greater awareness among citizens and a stronger propensity towards sustainable packaging for fresh food and take-away.
The project is carried out by ADOC APS – Association for Consumer Defense and Orientation, in collaboration with two Finnish organizations, Package Testing & Research (PTR) http://ptr.fi, a consulting and research agency and MARTHA http://martat.fi, specializing in home economics.
The goal is to improve consumer knowledge on sustainability and specifically on eco-design and “sustainable” packaging, especially in the takeaway sector, thus encouraging behavioral changes, aimed at introducing habits into the daily lifestyle of green consumption.
The project activities will involve a target group of 20 consumers (10 in Italy and 10 in Finland), who will participate in a specific training course. A handbook on the theme of sustainable packaging will also be produced and a final conference will be held at the end of the project.
Working together, the three participating organizations thus intend to promote the exchange of ideas and transfer knowledge and useful information on the sustainability of packaging, a highly topical issue: during the pandemic, in fact, requests for take-away and food deliveries have increased and it is very likely that the situation will remain the same in the future. Hence the importance of (in) training initiatives like these.
